  17.                    extended ASCII version (you might like that!),
  18.                    PostScript, Macintosh HyperCard, AmigaGuide, Windows
  19.                   .HLP help file hypertext, .html WWW, VMS, DeVice 
  20.                    Independent .dvi, GeoWorks Write, GNU info, and many more,
  21.                    including a split multi-file version for mailing, and
  22.                    other special versions, including Italian, Hungarian,
  23.                    Japanese, Polish and other translations. For full

  25.                    netguide.faq in this directory.

  27. Updates/ - Directory containing the Everybody's Internet Update newsletters
  28.            (supplements to the Guide.  You can get these via email

  34. README.making_new_versions - Guidelines for creating a new version or 
  35.    translation of the Guide.

  37. netguide.eff - The one you are probably looking for.  This is the basic
  38.                Unix text file version of BDGttI.  If you are using DOS this
  39.                will probably work for you too.  If you have line length
  40.                problems, get the ZIP'd version below.  This file always
  41.                contains the most current version of the text ("fancy" 
  42.                versions such as PostScript, hypertext, etc., may be somewhat 
  43.                older, as they take time to create after the text version is
  44.                released.)

  46. netgd3_1.zip - A ZIP'd-up DOS text version of EGttI.  Differs from
  47.                netguide.eff only in that each line ends with a cr/lf
  48.                character pair, instead of just lf. May make it easier to
  49.                view it on a DOS system. 
  50.    
  51. netguide_3.1.txt -  A link to netguide.eff for those that like long names.
  52.                     Incidentally, gives the current version number for
  53.                     your convenience.  Especially intended for sysadmins
  54.                     and other Internet and FirstClass redistributors, as
  55.                     well as Mac and Amiga users (see also Other_versions/
  56.                     subdirectory for "fancy" formatted versions of the
  57.                     Guide.)

  59. netguide.faq - This is Joke's Frequently Asked Questions and Answers (FAQ)
  60.                document about EGttI.  It should answer almost any query
  61.                about EGttI as it is very in-depth, covering the purpose,
  62.                creation, and location of EGttI including all versions/
  63.                formats and multiple archive sites.  Get it! READ it!
